St. Patrick’s Day may not be the most venerated holiday, but it can be a happy occasion nonetheless! In fact, did you know that there’s even a parade for it, just an hour out from Antioch? It’s on March, 18, 2017 starting at 1 PM in Sacramento. The past few years have seen almost a thousand green-clad marchers, and the jovial occasion is free! When we heard about this, we just had to share it with you. This parade is much earlier, taking place on March 12, 2017; starting at 11:30 AM. There will be floats, marchers, and all sorts of fun things to do. This Valentine’s Day, take your sweetheart on an adventure! Of course, you won’t be surprised to learn that our favorite kinds of adventure are road trips! So pack up some snacks, pick the most romantic songs for your playlist, and head out to some of these awesome destinations! Antioch to San Francisco One of the briefer trips on our list, Antioch to San Fran is only 45-50 minutes straight through. However, the trip to San Fran from Antioch has some great views and stops to take, with a destination that takes the cake! You’ll pass Mt. Diablo, with a great view and definitely worth a stop! Going through Oakland, you can enjoy the area around Jack London Shopping Center to get some ice cream or hot drinks.
