D&K Automotive Repair Update for January 16, 2018

Hello D&K Customers, Friends and family,   Lots of good things happening at D&K this past week!    The electrician is still there working away to get the building all wired up. If you can remember, the building was completely gutted on the inside. So it is definitely fair to say that there's a lot of work to be done. A large portion of it is the electrical!   Last week we also had the framers and plumber back to finish up what needs to be done in the walls before the sheet rock can be put back up.    We would really like to show you pictures of the progress. But that will take away the big surprise that's in store for you all.   We are back to planning our Grand Opening and will be opening on 4/2/18!   If any of you have ideas for our Grand Opening please feel free to let us know. Some of you have already given us some great ideas!   Have a fantastic week,   R.J. MilnesGeneral Manager ... read more

Hello again D&K Customers, Friends and Family,   Last week I let you all know that we should have some exciting news for this weeks update. And we do!   Approvals have gone through and construction is back underway! Our general contractor just released the updated schedule to us last night. Construction will be completed on Friday 3/16/18!!    Painter's were already working over the weekend and the plumber was there as well.    We still need a week or two to get all of our equipment back in the shop. So our Grand Opening will be after 3/16 with us reopening the NEW shop the Monday following our Grand Opening. This is all brand new information. So we don't have an actual date yet of our reopening. D&K Automotive Repair Update for December 12, 2017

Hello D&K Customers Friends and Family,   Last week was quiet at the shop. With the holiday's here and the other issues throughout the country, this is to be expected. Insurance companies have their hands full with everything going on and it will probably be that way through the end of the year.    With that being said we will be sending out our next update after the New Year unless we have something to update before then.   All of us here at D&K would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We thank you all for the Christmas cards that have been coming in and the support that you've given us this past year.   Look for our next update in January 2018!   Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,   R.J. D&K Automotive Repair Update for December 6, 2017

D&K Automotive Repair Update for December 6, 2017

Hello D&K Customers, Friends and Family,   Last week we finished backfilling all of the holes that we created with new concrete. Although this wasn't the largest piece of the project, we certainly felt like it was after all of that work! That being said, we are still moving forward!   We are hoping to hear back from the insurance companies this week so we can get this project going full steam. Once we get rolling we still expect six weeks of construction. So expect us to hit the ground running in 2018!   Paul is still standing by to help with any of your automotive consultant needs. Please use him as much as needed.   Paul, Doug and I have still been meeting on a weekly basis. We continue to work on how to better your overall experience at D&K.   Thank you all for supporting our team.   Have a great week!   R.J. MilnesGeneral ManagerD&K Auto Repair ... read more

D&K Automotive Repair Update for November 28, 2017

D&K Automotive Repair Update for November 28, 2017

Hello Again D&K Customers, Friends and Family,   Last week we were still working as usual. We finished getting all of the concrete pads cut out for the new vehicle lifts.   While working last week we had our new lifts delivered! This was our first big purchase during the rebuild process. So needless to say, we were excited!   This week concrete will be poured back into all of the holes that we cut throughout the shop. The concrete does take some time to dry. So we will patiently wait to get the new lifts installed.    We are still here for you all as your automotive consultants. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask.   We hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving and ate appropriately!   Have a fantastic week!   R.J. D&K Automotive Repair Update for November 21, 2017

Hello D&K Customers, Friends and Family,   Last week we started working on cutting concrete and breaking up some of the concrete pads so that we can install our new lifts. The new lifts should arrive sometime today!!   We are still waiting for the insurance companies to come to a conclusion. Like what was said in the last update, the insurance companies are overloaded with many other claims caused by this year's natural disasters.    This week we hope all of you are enjoying your time with your family's and are enjoying this time of the year.    All of us here at D&K hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!   R.J. D&K Automotive Repair Update for November 14, 2017

Hello D&K Customers, Friends and Family,   Last week more work was done behind the scenes again. No actual work was done at the shop, because we are waiting for the change orders (additional items needed to complete the repairs) to be approved.    Due to the recent disasters that have happened here in California and all throughout the United States, we are being told that the insurance companies are over whelmed with work. So obviously there will be some delays in our progress. Not to mention the holidays are here!    With that being said, we are still hard at work and we will be open again soon.   Paul is back from his fishing trip and is standing by the phone waiting to help you with any of your automotive needs.     I hope that you all have Turkey on the brain and are starting to enjoy the holiday season.   Stay tuned for next weeks update. Have a great week!    R.J. MilnesGeneral Manager ... read more

D&K Automotive Repair Update for November 7, 2017

Hello again D&K Customers, Friends and Family,   Last week was productive again more so behind the scenes. We had some change orders to turn in to the insurance company so we can proceed with construction. This is a normal "thing" with a large project like this.    Because we live in California we need an engineer to tell us how much concrete to poor for each of the pads for the racks to be installed (in case of an earthquake). This takes time of course. Yes, we did have racks in there before, but building codes have changed over the years.   Paul, Doug and I met as usual last week to improve your overall customer experience. We only met once last week because Paul went on a fishing trip with his daughter!    As some of you know, the phones have been forwarded to Paul. Unfortunately, due to the construction, we were unable to transfer the phones to me or Doug while Paul was out. So if you called and didn't get an answer, that ... read more

D&K Automotive Repair Shop Update for November 1, 2017

Hello D&K Customers Friends and Family,   Last week was productive again. The city inspector was there to make sure that our plumber was doing his job correctly (we passed), the electrician was working on wiring up the offices, and the plumber was backfilling the hole that he made.    It is starting to look more and more like the shop we will be at for years to come. The electrician has a ton of work yet to do. In fact, that is the largest portion of the job. We wish that we could share some more info, but we want you all to be surprised when you come back!    We also met with the landowner and our general contractor last week to discuss the final plans. All are approved and we will continue moving forward.   With the amount of work that still has to be done, we are hoping to be back by the end of December. We are very close to setting an actual date for the reopening. Some of you know how construction goes. This is no different than any other ... read more
